Test Drive: 2009 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Review

Test Drive: 2009 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Review

I had a BEAUTIFUL yellow 2009 Hyundai Genesis coupe this week and just loved it! This car comes with two engine choices, this one being the 3.8 liter V6 with a six-speed manual tranny. This thing is a rear wheel drive rocket!

Handling is superb, the car looks fantastic with 19-inch wheels and Brembo brakes. This car almost drew as much attention as the first Challenger I had. This car is super loaded with leather interior, heated and power seats, 10-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, automatic temperature controlled air, and a proximity key. I left a bunch of stuff off but everything I just mentioned comes standard on this car.

In fact, the only two options on this car are floor mats and an ipod cable, totaling $125. If you read my reviews often, I always play the “guess the MSRP” game. I guessed this car at $35000. In actuality, it is $30,375. What a wonderful surprise to cap off a terrific week with this car.

I loved the 4-door version of Genesis, but it was roughly $40,000. For the money, this car is a spectacular VALUE, even at MSRP. Oh, and if you needed more ammunition to talk the wife into the car, in normal driving, I was getting 18 in town and 27 miles per gallon on the road.

It’s terrific kids! I just can’t say enough about it and did not find one thing I didn’t like. The picture you see is of the actual car. Get over to Freeman Hyundai and drive one yourself!
