It would be extremely difficult to find a more comfortable car than the 2013 Lexus LS460 sedan that I am reviewing this week. I have the F Sport package which adds a new element to this 4700 pound large 5-passenger luxury sedan. This one is two-wheel drive, but all-wheel is available at an extra charge.
Under the hood, you get a 4.6-liter V8 that is rated at 360 horses and is hooked to a terrific 8-speed automatic transmission. The LS has strong acceleration and the transmission shifts as smooth as butter, you can’t even feel it. The downside is less than impressive fuel economy. It is rated at 16 in town, 24 on the highway.
For me, the real story of this car is the interior, which is nothing short of amazing. The front driver and passenger seats have so many adjustments, you can’t help but be comfortable. Brushed aluminum accents inside the car add a touch of class that you would expect in a top-of-the-line Lexus. The quietness inside this car is very noticeable. I drove this car to watch the Dallas Cowboys lose to the Denver Broncos and when I was near the stadium I rolled my window down, and found out how loud it was. Up to that point, you could not hear a sound inside.
