Well you knew this was going to happen. Chevrolet is giving two more of its SUVs the Midnight Edition treatment.
The Tahoe and Suburban are Chevy’s latest models to join the Midnight Edition club. Chevrolet keeps adding to the family because it says the special editions are so popular. Chevy already offers a Midnight Edition Silverado, Colorado, Equinox and Trax.
Midnight Edition Z71
The Midnight Edition Suburban and Tahoe comes two ways: either with a Z71 or LT package.
The Z71 Midnight includes all of the features found on the Z71 Package including off-road tuned suspension, off-road tires, skid plates, off-road tubular assist steps, fog lamps, tow hooks, sill plates, 3.42 axle, 2-speed transfer case, floor mats, hill descent control, high capacity air cleaner, Z71 badging and more. It adds 18” black-painted Z71 wheels, roof rack cross rails, black grille insert, and black Chevrolet “bow tie” logos. It’s also equipped with aggressive Goodyear DuraTrac off-road tires.
Midnight Edition LT
The LT Midnight includes all of the features found on both the LT trim levels of Suburban and Tahoe. Add to that 20” black wheels, all-season tires, roof rack cross rails, black assist steps and black Chevrolet “bow tie” logos.
The new special editions go on sale late this year. Both models come with Teen Driver standard.
By the way, SUV sales are going well for Chevy this year. Sales are up for 18 percent for the Tahoe and 30 percent for the Suburban compared to 2015.
