2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall Edition Goes To Dark Side

2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall Edition Goes To Dark Side

The 2017 GMC Terrain is going to the dark side. The automaker is unveiling a new edgy Nightfall Edition at the New York Auto Show this week.

It’s, as you might guess, a black-out decked-out SUV from top to bottom. We’ll start with the 18-inch wheels machine-faced aluminum wheels and gloss black spokes. It also gets a charcoal grill with a gloss black surround and accents, gloss black front and rear fascia accents, gloss black rear license plate surround trim, gloss black outside mirrors and black luggage rails.

When it goes on sale this fall, the Terrain Nightfall Edition will be offered on SLE-2 and SLT models with four exterior color options: Summit White, Onyx Black, Graphite Gray Metallic and Crimson Red Metallic.

It’s available with GMC’s IntelliLink and a standard 7-inch touchscreen, along with available 4G LTE connectivity and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

GMC says the Terrain is coming off record 2015 sales, with 112,030 deliveries. It’s GMC’s second-highest selling vehicle behind the Sierra and interestingly, nearly half of Terrain owners are new to GMC and nearly 50 percent of Terrain customers are women.

“Building on its best year ever, Terrain continues to attract new and style-conscious customers to GMC,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “The new Terrain Nightfall Edition adds another great-looking and well-equipped choice for this popular SUV – one that will stand out in a crowd.”

This five-seater offers an EPA-estimated 32 mpg highway with the standard 2.4L engine.Safety features include six standard air bags and a standard rear-vision camera. Available active safety features include Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Rear Park Assist.
