What’s New for the 2017 Infiniti QX60

Infiniti’s refreshed QX60 will arrive in showrooms with a more powerful engine and added features for 2017. It’s priced from $44,095, including destination.

The 2017 QX60 is a big family hauler that seats seven people. It doesn’t look different from the 2016. It still features Infiniti’s signature double-arch grille, LED Daytime Running Lights and crescent-cut D-pillars.

Here’s a look at the main updates for 2017.

It comes with a more powerful engine.

Updates for the new model year include a new 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 295-horsepower and and 270 pound-feet of torque. That’s an increase of 30-horses and 22 lb-ft of torque over the 2o16 model. It’s paired to an advanced continuously variable transmission. The QX60 is available as both rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.

It offers new convenience and technology features.

The Deluxe Technology Package adds a new Motion Activated Liftgate, High Beam Assist and auto side dimming mirrors, while the Drivers Assistance Package also includes auto side dimming mirrors.

The INFINITI InTouch with Navigation and INFINITI InTouch Services are also now available with Premium Plus package. Added features include a Vehicle Health Report and Voice Recognition for audio, Bluetooth and vehicle information. The Premium Packages also includes HD radio and music search by voice features.

A Theater Package now offers dual 8-inch color monitors (1-inch larger than 2016), along with the addition of a 12V power point, USB port and an HDMI port.  Wi-Fi is also offered with the Theater Package and includes 2GB with a 3-month complimentary trial.

Inside the cabin, available convenience features range from available Bose Cabin Surround sound system with 15 speakers to leather-appointed seating and a sequential welcome lighting illumination system.

It offers a list of safety technology.

The list of safety features offered on the QX60 includes all the ones we’re familiar with now: Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Backup Collision Intervention, Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention, Blind Spot Warning, Distance Control Assist and Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection.
