Mazda says its allotment of 1,000 limited edition 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Launch Editions are all now spoken for. More than 500 loyal customers placed preorders during an invite-only period starting September 26. The remaining cars sold out in just 13 hours when preorders opened to the general public October 3.
Two-thirds of customers went with a manual over the six-speed automatic.

For 2017, all MX-5 Club models will come standard with Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, regardless of their roof option. Previously, these features were available only on MX-5 Grand Touring models.
