The 2017 Ram Power Wagon hits the road this fall and it won’t exactly be cheap. The restyled off-road capable truck rolls into dealers soon with a starting price of $53,015, including destination.
Ram unveiled the new Rebel-restyled pickup earlier this year. It’s built on a Ram 2500 platform and gets a new look, with a new grille and tailgate. Nostalgic graphics are a throw-back to the Macho Power Wagon designs of 1979-80.
Inside, the interior features new tire-tread embossed seats with special logos. Drivers who want a cushier ride can opt for a Leather and Luxury option for $4,495. It also throws in a nine speaker Alpine audio system, heated seats, power lumbar adjustment, voice control and a heated steering wheel among other things.
The Power Wagon comes with a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 under the hood good for 410-horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque.
Compared to the standard Ram 2500 HD, the Power Wagon is lifted 2.3 inches higher for 14.3 inches of total ground clearance. It also has the capability to ford water at depths of up to 30 inches.
Other engineering features include the Ram “Articulink” front suspension system, five-link rear coil suspension, class-exclusive front sway bar disconnect and class-exclusive front and rear differentials.
