33 Millionth Ford Truck Sold

Ford LogoImagine being a milestone in an American legacy going back 65 years. A Princeton, Texas man made history last Friday as he became the owner of the 33 millionth F-Series truck sold by Ford Motor Company.

Sam Loria is a native Texan and a long-time Ford owner, and this week bought a 2013 F-150 Platinum. This 33 millionth F-Series truck was delivered to Mr. Loria on Friday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford in Plano.

Ford Truck SoldMr. Loria bought his first F-Series back in 1969 from Lee Jarmon Ford in Carrollton, now owned by Car Pro Show Premier Dealer Sam Pack. “This is my 12th Ford vehicle. I bought another F-150 because it is a solid vehicle. It’s Built Ford Tough,” said Mr. Loria. He is replacing his 2010 Ford F-150 Lariat. Now retired from the barbecue restaurant industry, the 76-year-old will use the new truck as his primary vehicle.

* Since 1948, with Mr. Loria’s purchase, 33 million trucks have proudly worn the F-Series badge.

* These legendary trucks have been the best-selling pickups for 36 consecutive years, and America’s overall best-selling vehicle for 31 years

* If you lined up 33 million F-Series end to end, they would stretch approximately 129,000 miles or halfway to the moon.

    Hi jerry Reynolds , I enjoy your Car-pro program on saturdays with KLBJ 59.0 Thanks for the valuable information you give to us . I do not know if you had received my e-mail that I had sent to you about the hood ornaments of most vehicles ofthe 1950 ‘s 60’s and the 1970’s . They could be used by the drivers on the country roads , since the long hoods of cars like the Lincolns, Cadillacs and others . The driver would align the ornament with roads edge in travelling on the country roads. Thanks . BP bern63@att.net .
