CORVETTE COLORS AXED

Corvette lovers can say goodbye to two more popular color options for 2016. You only have until April 15th to order Shark Gray and April 28th for Laguna Blue. In all, Chevy’s axed four Corvette colors so far this year.  The other two were Night Race Blue and Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic.

Chevrolet is currently building a new paint shop as part of $439 million dollars in upgrades at its Kentucky Corvette plant, so it will be interesting to see what its plans are for the 2017 model year.

Also, it’s possible the automaker could introduce new colors at the Michelin NCM Bash at the end of April. Stay tuned.

JAGUAR F-TYPE SVR WILL START AT $127,000

Pricing is out for the crazy fast 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR.

It’s roughly $127,000 for the 200 mph coupe and slightly more for the drop-top, which by the way, doesn’t go quite as fast. It will only go a mere 195 mph. The hardtop is priced from $126,945. The convertible starts at $129,705.

The sportster is the first Jag to wear the SVR badge – which stands for the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations group. It will officially be unveiled next month at the Geneva Motor Show

Order books for the F-Type SVR are open now with deliveries slated to begin this summer.

BENTLEY FLYING SPUR V8 S

Bentley is rolling out a new Flying Spur V8 S model. It will top out at 190 miles-an-hour and cost over the $200,000 mark.

Basically, the V8 S fills the gap between the base Flying Spur V8 and the W12. It keeps the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine you find in the Continental GT V8 S, but it gets a power bump to 521-horses and 502 pound-feet of torque, too.

As far as looks go, the Flying Spur V8 S gets some tweaks to differentiate itself from its stablemates. It comes with a black front body radiator grille with a body-colored insert and a Beluga gloss rear diffuser. Bentley will also offer unique exterior colors and interior trim options. Of course, it features special V8 S badging on the rear haunch and V8 S treadplates.

Deliveries begin in the summer.
