You Don’t See A 15-Foot Tree Lodged in a Car Grill Every Day

You Don’t See A 15-Foot Tree Lodged in a Car Grill Every Day

All we can say is poor tree.

A 15-footer met its demise in the grill of a car in Roselle, Illinois back in January. It was the victim of an apparent drunk driver who, after hitting the tree, kept driving down the road with it stuck in the front of the car.

A police officer spotted the driver traveling in the opposite direction and, as you might imagine, noticed something amiss.

I mean we’ve seen and heard about some crazy road happenings, but this has to be right up there in the pretty unbelievable department. We echo the Roselle Police Department when it says don’t drink and drive.

Here’s the dashcam video of this, er, unusual traffic stop involving a 54-year-old woman who was later charged with a DUI.

Since we are new to Facebook, we were not quite sure what to expect from our post. We have received requests to post the video from this call. Some just didn’t believe it was true, so we have attached a short video of this call.

The first portion of the video is in slow-motion and shows the car traveling in the opposite direction; the second portion shows the officer trying to stop the car and then as he approaches the driver. Yes, it is true and it happened!

DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!
