I wish Ford had chosen to not name the Ford Fusion the Ford Fusion. There just isn’t any similarity between the all-new 2013 and previous editions. In years past, Fusion has always been a good car, but not an overly exciting car. That has all changed.

Visibly, this is one of the most beautiful cars to come out in years, from any manufacturer. My tester is the Titanium version and it is very well-equipped. The 2013 Ford Fusion is larger than the last version and has a bold grill that looks much like that of an Aston Martin. Ford did an exceptional job making the interior much roomier.… Read more

The post 2013 Ford Fusion Car Pro Review and Test Drive appeared first on Car Pro USA.

The Ford Mustang that portrayed “Eleanor” in the Gone in 60 Seconds remake (that’s the one with Nic Cage) just sold for $1,100,000 at the Mecum Indianapolis auction.
Eleanor is just as much a star of the movie as Cage was, and it was considered the object of desire that drove the whole film. Though a number of Mustangs actually portrayed Eleanor throughout filming, the one that sold today was actually the “hero car,” used in close-ups, promotional materials, and posters. It was so popular that it rejuvenated the whole resto-modding scene, spawning a number of clones.
The modifications to Eleanor are extensive, which as fitting as it was being sold by the original shop that produced it.… Read more

The post Eleanor Mustang Fetches $1,100,000 – Car Pro News appeared first on Car Pro USA.

Subaru is recalling 5,379 model-year 2013 versions of the Outback and Legacy due to a problem with the steering column, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The affected vehicles were manufactured from Feb. 15 through June 15, 2012; check your vehicle’s build date on a sticker on the driver-side doorjamb. In these cars, the inner and outer shafts of the steering column assembly could become disengaged, leading to a possible loss of vehicle control. Subaru received customer complaints about a loss of steering ability, which led to the recall investigation, the automaker said in a statement.
Subaru will start notifying affected owners today, and dealers will replace the affected parts for free.… Read more

The post Subaru Recalls 2013 Outback and Legacy Models appeared first on Car Pro USA.

Daimler AG has unveiled the newest version of its S-Class model from luxury brand Mercedes-Benz, a car that will play a key role in the company’s effort to restore its earnings performance.
The new S-class sedan was shown off Wednesday in Hamburg, Germany.
It has a taller grille that changes its exterior appearance, but the major emphasis was on the technology added to increase driver comfort and safety — and underline Mercedes’ image as a maker of advanced vehicles for the well-heeled.
The car will be important to the company’s efforts to improve earnings.
First-quarter profits fell 60 percent to 564 million euros ($733 million) and the company had to abandon its profit estimate for the year.… Read more

The post First Look: 2014 Mercedes S-Class – Car Pro News appeared first on Car Pro USA.

We would expect at least 50,000 miles from the tires that come with any new vehicle, but tire life depends on so many factors that it’s impossible to give anything other than broad guidelines.
Among the factors are the quality of the tire, the tread wear rating, whether it is a performance summer tire or an all-season tire, the type of vehicle it is mounted on and how it is driven. Performance tires may grip like leeches on dry pavement, but they tend to wear out faster than tires with less rolling resistance. If you drive your vehicle like you just stole it that also will wear tires faster.… Read more

The post How Long Should Tires Last?
