Say hello to the new redesigned 2018 Chevrolet Traverse which rolls out later this year. Chevy took the wraps off the all-new model at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. It’s a long overdue overhaul, too. The current generation dates back to 2008.
The family hauler is longer so it seats more people, it comes with new styling, features more tech inside and offers new engines including a new 3.6L V-6 paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Traverse comes in two new trim levels for 2018. The sporty RS features unique, blacked-out exterior cues with a black chrome grille, black bowtie, 20-inch wheels and more. It also has an exclusive 2.0L turbocharged engine under the hood.
The top-of-the-line High Country trim, the more luxurious take on the model, is designed to take on the Ford Explorer Platinum. It comes with all the bells and whistles. We’re talking a unique interior leather trim, 20-inch polished wheels, High Country badging, D-Optic headlamps, standard twin-clutch AWD and power-fold third row seats. There is also wireless charging up front.
The High Country seats seven, but the other trim levels can fit up to eight, thanks to a longer wheelbase than the current model.
Teen Driver and Rear Seat Reminder both come standard.
The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse goes on sale in the fall.
