Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is making his first ad appearance as a Ford spokesman. More specifically, he’s the head spokesman for “The Specialists at Ford” team, which is basically Ford’s family of authorized service departments.
The first of Ford’s new campaign ads hit the airwaves Monday and Johnson even hit twitter himself to help spread the word.

The 30-second ad depicts Johnson as the leader of an elite crew of Ford technicians and service advisors. The campaign is an effort to get Ford owners to bring their vehicles in to authorized dealers for service. Although, don’t expect to run into Johnson himself when you pull up to the service window.
Johnson is a longtime Ford fan, owning three Ford vehicles – his favorite being F-150.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be in partnership with Ford as their spokesman for service,” said Johnson. “My relationship with Ford began when I was 15 and bought a classic ’77 blue Thunderbird as my first car – and I’ve been a Ford man ever since. Representing their service department and the Ford individuals who are committed to taking care of their customers echoes one of my core enterprise beliefs, ‘Always take care of your audience,’ and whether it’s in a movie theater or behind the wheel, taking care of people is what matters most.”
“His genuine appreciation of the brand makes the alignment of Ford service and Dwayne Johnson a great partnership,” said a Ford spokesperson.
Television ads will be followed by radio, digital and social media spots. The multiyear deal will feature a continuous stream of new content.
