Ford Recalls 2013 Fusion Models – Car Pro News

12 Dec

Ford is recalling 19,106 model-year 2013 versions of the Fusion sedan due to problems with the headlights, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The affected vehicles, which were manufactured from Feb. 3 through Oct. 20, 2012, fail to conform to a federal motor vehicle standard regarding low-beam headlight projector coating. You can check your vehicle’s build date on a sticker on the driver-side doorjamb.
The headlights in the affected vehicles could become hazy over time and not be as bright. This could lead to decreased visibility for the driver and an increased risk of a crash.
Ford will notify owners starting next week, and dealers will replace the affected parts for free. Owners can call Ford at 866-436-7332 or NHTSA’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 for more info.

Shopping, looking at Ford Edge, Chevy Equinox and Toyota 4 Runner. Drive @ 15,000 mi per year or more. Want to keep price @ 24,000.00. I bike, fish, camp and haul friends for hill country trips. What would be the best choice between these three vehicles?

    • Jerry says:

Cheryl, all three are really good, no issues at all. Given what you are going to use it for, I’d say the 4Runner is the most capable.

Let me know if I can help you find one, our dealers are really careful what pre-owned vehicles they sell.

Thanks for listening to the show.
