The hot-blooded Ram Rebel is going red. And it doesn’t cost you a cent. Sweet.
RAM took the wraps off the Rebel’s newest color, Delmonico Red, this week at the Houston Auto Show. It’s the seventh color choice in the lineup and a no-cost option. You can also add on the Rebel Black package for contrasting matte black wheels and front skid plate.
The new red Rebel cabin stays black and gray. Black bezel accents shine on the doors, center console, instrument panel, and gauges. It’s pretty much a grey scale cabin. But that’s not a bad thing, it lends the model a simple hard worker feel. In addition to that are legitimate all weather rubber floor mats. The black seats are heated with large Rebel embroidery on the sides bolsters make it clear that it’s not just any Ram.
Along with that, it’s showing a series of new monochrome detail options on its top Limited. Including the option match the tailgate RAM letters to the body paint. This replaces the contrasting chrome letters of last year. The sidesteps lettering and running boards will also be available in matching body color. Keep in mind you can only get the Limited trim on 1500, 2500, and 3500 crew cab models.
Ram says the motivation behind the slight design offering allows truckers new options to make their truck their own. Just because everyone in Texas seems to drive one, doesn’t mean they all have to look the same.
The 2017 Ram Rebel in Delmonico Red – or any color – starts at $46,490. The black package adds on about $600.
The 2017 Limited with the monochrome package starts at $54,660. Both models and new options will be available next month.
