2017 Ford Shelby 350GT Debuts New Colors, Standard Track Package

2017 Ford Shelby 350GT Debuts New Colors, Standard Track Package

Ford is taking the latest Shelby to the next level. And you aren’t going to catch us complaining.

The new 2017 Shelby GT350 Mustang will offer new packages and standard features based on driver feedback. This will make it, as Ford says, the most track-capable, race-ready Mustang “ever.”

The biggest change is that the popular Track Package now comes standard. It includes an aluminum tower-to-tower brace, high-downforce decklid spoiler, transmission and differential coolers, and MagneRide damping. Ford says the decision to make these features standard is based off customer feedback.

“We have adjusted the packages available to continue to provide more of what customers want,” says Dave Pericak, global director, Ford Performance.

There are two new packages for drivers to choose from and they’re also based off customer demands. The Electronics Package adds on SYNC 3, voice-activated navigation, and nine-speaker audio system. A Convenience Package adds on to the first with leather-trimmed power sport seats. The nine-speaker audio system is also offered with the R-Electronics Package.

Ford is also adding in three new color options for 2017: Ruby Red Metallic, Lightning Blue, and Grabber Blue. These three will replace the current colors of Deep Impact Blue and Competition Orange.
