Not Always A Pleasant Buying Experience…We Try Hard To Make Sure This Doesn’t Happen!

Jerry,
Your approved Russell and Smith Mazda dealer is a joke. We shopped for two cars three weeks ago and probably visited 20 dealerships only to be treated to the worst case of dealershipitis at this location. These people were a joke and they performed the classic runaround. I was shopping with my daughter and had explained to her how some dealers operate. When we were here she was almost laughing because they were doing EXACTLY what I told her. I call it the “dance” and I do not play that game. Below is what I had replied to the salesman after our visit:
“After getting home and researching the KBB fair purchase price of $18413 on the Mazda 3 touring that had a sticker of $20345 and finding that the upgraded radio can be purchased for $300 plus installation (installation may run a $100 plus) and not for the $2000 plus that you wanted I now understand that you do not want my business. As you can see, I do my research and as I told you, I will be purchasing a car on Monday. I do not have time to play games.”
The dealer sat there and tried to tell us the upgraded radio was $2000 when my daughter searched the internet right there in the showroom and showed them it was about $300 online; what a rip-off. We had shopped at the Russell and Smith Honda dealer earlier and were treated very well, but their Mazda dealer left such a bad taste we purchased a Honda in Katy were we had an exceptional experience.
