Spring has sprung and so has the Ram Yellow Rose of Texas Special Edition. You definitely won’t miss this one coming down the road either.
Ram Trucks unveiled the new half-ton pickup truck this week and it’s only available in, you guessed it, Texas. It’s named after the iconic song and is, of course, painted in bright yellow.
Specifically we’re talking the 2016 Ram 1500 Yellow Rose of Texas edition with Stinger Yellow paint. It will be offered as either a half-to 4X2 or 4X4 crew cab version of the Ram 1500 Lone Star. The trucks are exclusive to Texas.
“Texas is truck country – Ram Truck country – and we’re committed to building products that resonate with our customers,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand – FCA Global. “The importance of the Texas truck market cannot be overstated. That’s why the Ram Truck brand has worked year after year to deliver hard-working trucks that serve the communities across the Lone Star state.”
The Yellow Rose of Texas name is rooted in the mid-19th century American folk song that was later popularized in the 1955 Billboard Number One hit by artist Mitch Miller.
It will start brightening up Texas roads when it goes on sale this April.
