Rolls-Royce is going high fashion with its new Wraith Inspired by Fashion coupe. It pulled off a haute couture photo shoot right on the factory floor to unveil its newest special edition, inspired by the fashion industry. The shoot took place on the production line at the Home of Rolls-Royce in the South of England, with models flanking it in every direction.
As for the coupe, it’s pretty much a Wraith like any other, but it’s all in the details. We’re talking welted silk on the door panels, a new two-tone composition steering wheel and wood lacquered dashboard. The automaker says it takes nine days alone to complete the lacquering process. The special edition Wraith is finished in a unique, two-tone Andalucian White and Arctic White color scheme. It comes in three colorway accent colors: Jasmine, Tailored Purple or Mugello Red. Inside, it features Arctic White and Black leather, embroidered headrests, seat stitching and piping.
“This iteration of Wraith provides a canvas for materials and finishes most commonly associated with the world of fashion,” Giles Taylor, Director of Design for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said. “Inspiration was sourced from international catwalks and Bespoke Tailors, resulting in an aesthetically stunning and sartorially on-point motor car.”
The automaker says the Wraith has been very successful attracting buyers who are big on customization. Rolls-Royce says 95% of all Wraith motor cars left the Home of Rolls-Royce with an element of Bespoke design last year. Last year is also when Rolls-Royce introduced the Wraith Inspired by Film special edition. It added about $40,000 to the base price, which is around $294,000.
The Wraith Inspired By Fashion is available for the well-heeled fashion set to order now.
