SEMA: Mopar Unveils New Crate HEMI Engine Kits

SEMA: Mopar Unveils New Crate HEMI Engine Kits

If you’ve been waiting for the day you could drop a modern HEMI engine into older vehicles, that day has arrived.

Mopar is now offering crate HEMI kits that offer a factory-backed, efficient option for plugging modern Mopar HEMI engine power into vehicles from 1975 and earlier.

There are two kits. One is a Mopar 345 Crate HEMI Engine Kit and the other is a Mopar 392 Crate HEMI Engine Kit. They are designd for 2014 and newer 5.7-liter and 6.4-liter HEMI engines, respectively. The kits include power distribution center, PCM, engine and chassis harnesses, accelerator pedal and more to create virtual plug ‘n play options for owners. They’re priced at $1,795.

Mark Worman, star of Velocity’s Graveyard Carz, and Mopar head Pietro Gorlier debuted the kits at the 2016 SEMA show in Vegas.
