As it turns out, I like a Subaru a heck of a lot more than a Dodge Viper—who’d have ever thought you’d read that here?
I had the 2009 Subaru WRX, an enjoyable rocket this week and it was terrific. I used to make fun of the WRX because of its mass appeal to the teenage set, but this new version is pretty spectacular.
The new version of the WRX now sports 265 horses, a hefty increase from the 2008 of 41 horsepower that propels the car from zero to 60 in just 4.7 seconds, very impressive! I also noticed a very apparent change in the suspension to a much stiffer, yet road-gripping feel.
Having tested this car before and coming to the conclusion that it was not for me, I was much more comfortable in this 2009 version. The interior was much improved and the seats more comfortable than in years past. I actually found this car to be a ton of fun to drive.
Subaru made everything about this car more comfortable and easy to operate. This car made some nice improvements for 2009 both inside and outside, not to mention under the hood. In the past, this car was primarily a kids’ car, but today it could be a viable car for anyone.
This car is a joy to drive and with a price tag of around $25,000 it is a MUST SEE.
