Chrysler is recalling more than 150,000 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Minivans equipped with a 3.6L engine. The engine control software may become out of sync with the crankshaft position sensor, possibly resulting in an engine stall. This increases the risk of a crash.
The recall is expected to begin March 2, 2018. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the engine control software, free of charge.
Chrysler’s number for this recall is U01. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or visit www.safercar.gov.
