My Tuesday feels a lot like a Monday right now and clearly, Audi knew just what it could do to make things better. It’s dropped the news about the most powerful production TT model ever.
The new 2018 Audi TT RS is joining the Audi Sport model lineup. So just how powerful are we talking? Well, it’s all-new 2.5-liter five-cylinder TFSI engine will churn out 400-horses. (By the way, the engine is 57 pounds lighter than the old one.)
Let’s also not forget standard Quattro all-wheel drive. It can send nearly all the available 354 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. So we’re talking a 0-60 sprint time in 3.6 seconds, faster than any other TT model. Top track speed is 155 mph. Get the optional Dynamic plus package and make that 174 mph.
The 2018 Audi TT RS is race car-inspired on the inside. Sports seats, Audi’s virtual cockpit and a new multifunction sport steering wheel with shift paddles and satellite controls are just a few goodies.
The 2018 TT RS will make its official U.S. debut at the 2017 New York International Auto Show this month.
