Muscle car fans start saving your pennies. The new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will start from $86,090 including destination when it hits dealers this fall.
The basic model is a Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 beast with 808-horsepower that handily overpowers the 707-horse Challenger SRT Hellcat. (The Hellcat starts from $64,000.) If you want to unleash the Demon’s full 840-ponies you’ll need to add-on the Demon Crate. It’s a kit of tools and performance parts that will make you track-ready. The good news here is that the Crate only costs $1. (Dodge says it’s really worth $6,140.)
You’ll also remember the Demon only comes with a driver’s seat. But for another $1, you can add a passenger seat for the drag-racing inspired cabin.
Dodge only plans to build 3,000 limited-edition, serialized single-model-year Demons for the States. They’ll be available in 15 different color choices. Production begins later this summer with dealer deliveries beginning this fall. Demon owners will receive one full-day session at Bob Bondurant School of High-performance Driving.
