The five-passenger fastback sports sedan takes direct aim at a market dominated by European automakers, namely German ones. It’s based on a GT concept Kia unveiled in 2011.
The Stinger GT is something completely different from anything we’ve ever seen from Kia before. It’s the highest-performance production vehicle in the company’s history. The GT trim makes 365-horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. It’s zero to 60 time, 5.1 seconds. One thing we do have to warn you about – is that it won’t come with a manual. It’s an eight-speed automatic all the way.
The Stinger should hit the market late this year. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
