Thank you Jaguar for jolting us out of our Monday blues with this one. Namely, the 2018 XJR575.
Jaguar’s latest super sedan is a performance beast thanks to the F-Type SVR’s 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine that delivers 575-horsepower. You can hit 186 mph in 44 seconds. Zero to 60 in 4.2 seconds. It delivers 517 pound-feet of torque and an electronic active differential provides maximum traction.
Tailor-made details include the rear spoiler, side sills, front bumper and lower air intakes with gloss black surrounds. 20-inch black gloss wheels with red brake calipers also make it stand out from its siblings.
Based on the XJ, which by the way will be all-new for 2019, the XJR575 comes with special badging and two special bespoke colors from Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations unit, Satin Corris Gray or Velocity Blue.
The interior is impressive in the photos. The sedan’s black leather seats look like they have some amazing bolstering to keep you seated snugly on those tight turns. They have a diamond-quilted pattern and a red-embroidered 575 on the headrest. The 10-inch touchscreen, larger for the XJ this year, also stands out on the center console.
The XJR575 is Jaguar’s answer to the Mercedes-AMG S63 and Audi S8.
