If youíre in the DFW area, make that anywhere near Texas, then youíd do well to make it over to the State Fair of Texas Auto Show where hundreds of new vehicles are on display through October 20, 2019. Many of them newsmakers as well including the first-ever 2020 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel along with the latest Jeep Wrangler WILLYS Edition.

Letís start with the Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel. Itís a first for the Wrangler lineup. The 3.0-liter V6 will be available on the Unlimited models, regardless of trim level and it will be available by the end of the year. Built in Italy, this is the third-generation EcoDiesel that launches first in the 2020 Ram 1500. It will also make its way to the Jeep Gladiator next year. Jeep Brandís Brandon Girmus gives us our first look at the 260-horsepower engine that delivers 442 lb.-ft of torque. The engine will feature stop/start technology and it will be paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission that Jeep says is designed to handle the increased torque output.

2020 Jeep Wrangler Willys Edition

Also making news for the 2020 Jeep Wrangler lineup - the return of the iconic Willys Edition. This is the first time this popular edition - named for the military-spec model used by U.S. forces during WWII - will be available on the newest generation of the JL. Based on the Wrangler Sport S model, the Willys edition features a limited-slip rear differential, Rubicon rock rails and shocks, heavy-duty brakes and 32-inch Firestone mud terrain tires. These features, combined with Jeepís Command-Trac 4x4 part-time, two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, bolster the Jeep Wrangler Willysí off-road capability.

We snagged a few more minutes with Jeep Brand's Brandon Girmus so he could also show us some of the exterior highlights which include special decals, unique black 17-inch aluminum wheels with gray pad print and a gloss black sport grille.

All-weather slush mats, as well as LED headlights and fog lights, are also standard on the Wrangler Willys edition. You have your choice of 10 colors: Black, Granite Crystal, Sting Gray, Billet, Ocean Blue, Firecracker Red, Punkín, Hellayella, Mojito! and White.

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willys has an MSRP of $33,990 for the two-door and $37,490 for the four-door version. You can order one now.
