As with all categories of SUVs, the large luxury segment is up almost 900 vehicles in the first two months of 2019. The numbers are impacted by the fact that we donít have stats for Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator.

Weíll get the breakdown on those in the next couple of weeks.
Infiniti QX80 leads the pack for those companies that do report sales monthly.

Here are your sales numbers for the first two months of 2019:

Biggest downside [IMO] to the Infiniti QX80 / Nissan Armada / Land Rover Range Rover is the two piece tailgate. When the bottom part in the up position you have to lift items up and over, which is a burden. Conversely, when the bottom part is in the flat down position you have to stretch further to reach items like groceries in the cargo area. For this reason these vehicles would never make it onto my list of potential rides.

Hi, Jerry.... This top of the line Infiniti QX80 is truly a very luxurious ride. I've driven one recently and couldn't have been more impressed. With the sales list you included above, I'm not surprised that this model, so far, is on top. While I've also driven a Range Rover, you couldn't get me to purchase a Range Rover even if it was offered free of charge. Why, you may ask? Because, unfortunately, the reliability of this brand is always at or right close to the bottom of every list. Folks who have owned a Range Rover have told me that their vehicle spent at least as much time up on a lift at the dealer garage as it did sitting in their home garage. Thanks, again, Jerry.

I appreciate the feedback David. I like the QX80 a lot. I differ on the opinion of Rovers, I'm on my 11th in a row, it might be 12, but as I say on air, the key is knowing when to get rid of them.

I appreciate you listening.
