Carol, pictured recently with Trey Russell, the GM Five Star Ford Carrollton.
Almost two weeks ago on the WBAP show in North Texas, a lady named Carol who lives in Canton, TX called me on the air. She related a story to me about purchasing a vehicle from my son, who passed away in 2013 at 30 years old.
Her call touched me deeply and tested my ability to hold myself together on the air. For the most part, I was able to do that. It was just one of those touching moments that doesn’t happen all that often.
I sent her back to the same dealership to see Trey Russell, the GM at Five Star Ford in Carrollton, TX. You can see Carol and Trey as she takes delivery of her new Ford Edge.
As I always said during my years of owning dealerships: Sometimes we sell cars, but sometimes we change lives.

Jerry, B.J. touched so many lives in a positive way! His friendly, outgoing personality made him very easy to work with when purchasing a new car. My husband and I bought two SUVs from Five Star Ford while he was there. We were saddened when we heard of his passing and I find it hard to believe it has been seven years already.
