Itís a car lovers paradise full of vintage automobiles, colors and nostalgia of days gone by. Weíre talking about the Pack Auto Museum
. Once you set foot inside this amazing showcase of automotive history you know itís going to be hard to leave.
Youíd never know from the front of the building such a treasure trove of vintage cars awaits you inside. This place is so big itís mind-blowing. Weíre talking not one, but two huge buildings full of impeccably restored vintage cars that really just make your jaw drop.
The unusual mixture of vintage classics, one-offs and celebrity-owned cars is just incredible. It is undoubtedly one of the finest collections of classic cars youíll ever see, anywhere.
Sam Pack, who owns the Pack Auto Group, is the guy we can thank for all this gorgeous car candy. Heís amassed this enviable collection of vehicles over time and decided to open the museum in 2005. There are currently more than 250 cars on display (I say on display because that doesnít include dozens more tucked away in a third location.)
If this seems like a lot of cars, consider this. Packís famous collection was once even bigger, but he thinned it out a bit in 2014
to make things more manageable. The RM auction took in 11.5 million
The museum is only open to the public once a year during the Dallas Spring Nationals Classic Car Show. Event goers can check out the museum for a $5 donation to the Holy Angels Residential Facility. Itís an organization Sam Pack supports by also being part of other events like the Haven Charity Golf Classic
Aside from being open to the public once a year, the museum holds private and charity events throughout the year. Until you have a chance to check it out for yourself, hereís a peek inside.
