2017 Ford F-250 Power Stroke

The 2017 Ford F-250 Power Stroke diesel is both a beauty and a beast. It’s also so quiet, the guy at the car wash actually asked if it was running.

2017 Ford F-250 Power Stroke Lariat Test Drive

This week I bring you one of the biggest, baddest trucks on the road, the all-new 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty. When I say all new, it really is. It’s been 18 years since Ford re-did the Super Duty and this truck doesn’t share any parts with the 2016 and older models. Major changes this year include the addition of a … Continue Reading

2017 Mazda 6

Inside and out, the 2017 Mazda 6 is simply the best-looking, best-driving mid-sizer on the market and might well be the best overall car of the bunch.

2017 Mazda 6

2017 Mazda 6 Test Drive and Review

The good-looking gray ghost in my old garage at Chateau Box rarely made any noise. It never clanked and banged around or moaned at the moon. It didn’t even scare my globally warmed, Chihuahua-sized mice away, but then, the 2017 Mazda 6 – my alluring ghost – has long been pretty silent in the mid-size sedan segment, a shimmering vision … Continue Reading

2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

If you’re looking for a Jeep to love both on and off the road, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has you covered.

2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Test Drive

This week I bring you the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, one of the most capable 4X4 off-road SUVs you can buy. For me, what makes this SUV unique is that besides amazing off-road abilities, it makes a great daily driver as well. My tester has the 3.6-liter V6 and an 8-speed automatic. A lot of people will opt for … Continue Reading

2017 Lincoln Continental

Can the new 2017 Lincoln Continental Black Label compete with the Audi A6, Mercedes E-class, or BMW 5-series? In a word, yes.

2017 Lincoln Continental Black Label

2017 Lincoln Continental Black Label Test Drive

The odds are pretty good that the last time you rode in a large, 4-door Lincoln, you were headed to the airport. That has all changed with the introduction of the 2017 Lincoln Continental. The first Continental ever produced was in 1939, and until this 2017, we had not seen a Continental made since 2002. This 10th generation Continental is truly … Continue Reading

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe

When you open the door of the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate you might think you’re behind the wheel of a Mercedes instead of a Hyundai.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate Test Drive and Review

Americans have gone crazy for SUVs of all sizes, but one of the most popular segments is crossovers that have 3 rows of seating. The big problem is choosing the one that best fits your needs. Well, Hyundai just raised the bar with its 2017 Santa Fe. Inside the Santa Fe family, you have a lot of choices. To be … Continue Reading

2017 Subaru Outback

The 2017 Subaru Outback Touring gets our thumbs up for its value, all-wheel-drive system, fuel economy, and fantastic Eyesight safety technology.

2017 Subaru Outback Touring

2017 Subaru Outback Touring Test Drive and Review

This week I bring you the 2017 Subaru Outback and the debate rages on…is it an SUV or a station wagon? Subaru calls it a crossover, and so will I since I try to avoid reviewing station wagons. The Outback is a vehicle I recommend to people often on the Car Pro Show. The last one I reviewed was the … Continue Reading

2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara

The 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara is a great off-roader but at roughly $45,000 we’re surprised it doesn’t come with one important feature.

Jeeps started being produced back in 1941, strictly for military use. As the story goes, the name Jeep came from the initials GP, for “general purpose” and the name Jeep stuck. Last year, Jeep commemorated its 75th anniversary of the Jeep. Today I bring you the 2017 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4×4. This is the 4-door version, but you can still get … Continue Reading

2017 GMC Denali Sierra 1500

The 2017 GMC Sierra Denali is a certainly a contender in the luxury truck wars, with a slightly more upscale interior than the Chevrolet Silverado.

2017 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 Crew Cab

2017 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 Crew Cab Test Drive

This week, we take a look at the 2017 GMC Sierra Denali four-wheel drive Crew Cab. This truck had a complete re-do in 2014, then last year received a freshening. People often ask me the differences between this truck and the Chevy Silverado. The truth is, the only difference is in the grill, the headlights, and taillights, and the GMC … Continue Reading

2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Duramax Diesel

The big news for the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 is the all-new diesel engine under the hood, most of the truck otherwise is unchanged.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Duramax

2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Duramax Test Drive

This week I bring you the 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 Duramax diesel truck. As you may recall, I had the 2017 Ford F-250 Powerstroke recently, so it is easy to make comparisons between the two. The big news for the Chevy is the all-new diesel engine under the hood, most of the truck otherwise is unchanged for 2017. 2017 Chevy … Continue Reading

2018 Chevrolet Equinox

The redesigned 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is a very nice two-row SUV with a great interior. Plus it offers standard two great safety features we love: Teen Driver and Rear Seat Reminder.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox Premier

2018 Chevrolet Equinox Premier Test Drive

The last time I reviewed the Chevy Equinox was in 2010, and through 2017 it remained largely unchanged. By today’s standards, 7 years is a long time for no major changes. In spite of that, Equinox is Chevy’s #2 seller behind the Silverado. Now comes the redesigned 2018 Chevy Equinox which is 400 pounds lighter and 4-inches shorter than the … Continue Reading
Carol B.
Hi Jerry, My name is Carol and have enjoyed your radio show for several years and now have a question!
My husband & I are seriously considering the 2018 Honda CRV Exl or the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. Which of these would be a better buy and have better reliability? Not too sure about Honda?s CVT transmission!
Thank you, Carol
Litigal@ Hotmail.com
Car P.
Carol, both are great SUVs. It?s a little bit of a mixed bag however. I believe the Honda will go farther with fewer problems, but I find the Hyundai to be more enjoyable as a daily driver. Either would be great up to 150,000 miles or so, but after that, I think the CR-V will still have a lot of life in it.

I hope this helps you!
