So far this year, SUVs have continued to grow in sales, although sales were off for the month of September. As I explained last week, this was strictly because of the way the calendar fell.

Year-To-Date, Americans have purchased or leased 6,109,000 SUVS versus 5,957,000 through the first nine months of 2018.

Toyota RAV4 appears to be poised to take the #1 spot for this year, and we’ll continue to watch the race for #2 between Honda CR-V and Nissan Rogue.
