Year-To-Date Best-Selling Midsized Cars (All)

This segment so far this year has held its own versus the same time a year ago, however, the players have changed. With the domestic automakers, especially Ford, abandoning the car segment, it opened the door for many of the others to excel.

The Ford Fusion, for instance, was a real player in the first quarter of 2020 with sales of 37,000 in Q1. This year, just 7,800. One has to wonder if Ford regrets this decision by its former CEO.

The all-new Kia K5 is making a splash, just missing the top 5 by less than 200 sales in the first quarter this year. Camry continues to dominate the segment and almost certainly will for the rest of the year.
