It’s a big day if you’ve been planning to buy Acura’s new 2017 NSX supercar (or heck, even pretend that you are.) The order books are officially open and the NSX online configurator is ready to go.
The 2017 NSX is Acura’s first build-to-order vehicle in its history, so we’ll warn you right off the bat, it’s expensive. NSX pricing starts at $156,000 and can easily go past the $200,000 mark.
The configurator is the first step in the custom order process. Once prospective owners have customized their NSX online, they request a one-on-one consultation with an authorized NSX dealer and go from there.
Drivers can choose between eight exterior and four interior color schemes, three available packages and a list of individual factory options like a carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber engine and carbon fiber rear decklid spoiler. Why you can even get illuminated door sills that light up for an extra $1,500.
On the outside, drivers can choose from Curva Red, 130R White, Berlina Black, Casino White Pearl ($700), Source Silver Metallic ($700), Nord Gray Metallic ($700), Valencia Red Pearl (PPG Andaro paint – $6,000), Nouvelle Blue Pearl (PPG Andaro paint – $6,000) paint jobs.
The interior comes in either Red, Orchid, Saddle, or Ebony.
A Carbon Fiber Exterior Sport Package adds a carbon fiber front spoiler, carbon fiber side sills, carbon fiber rear diffuser, plus dark chrome exhaust finisher. It’s an additional $9,000 chunk of change.
A Carbon Fiber Interior Sport Package features a hand-wrapped carbon fiber meter visor and carbon fiber steering wheel garnish, plus aluminum sport pedals and footrest. It tacks on $2,900.
The Technology Package gives you Acura’s ELS Studio Audio System, next-generation AcuraLink, Acura Satellite-Linked Navigation System with Voice Recognition and HD Digital Traffic, and front and rear parking sensors, and is available with SiriusXM Radio. It starts at $2,800.
Individual factory options include a $6,000 Carbon Fiber Roof along with $9,000 Carbon-Ceramic Brake Rotors. Inside, you can add Semi-Aniline leather power sport Seats for $2,500 and a black Alcantara headliner for another $1,300.
The 2017 Acura NSX will be built in Marysville, Ohio.
