“The Viper has always been more of a street-legal race car than a track-capable streetcar, and the new 2016 Dodge Viper ACR is the fastest street-legal Viper track car ever,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and Chief Executive Officer – Dodge Brand and SRT Brand, FCA – North America. “Our goal is to arm our enthusiasts with the ultimate Viper track car to dominate road courses around the world.”
Certified for public roads and engineered to wring every last hundredth of a second out of road course lap times, Dodge says the 8.4-liter V-10 engine, 645 horsepower performance beast combines the latest in aerodynamic, braking and tire technology.
Porsche’s 911 Plans
Could Porsche be developing a 911 plug-in hybrid after all. It’s an idea that’s been tossed around for awhile now, but the automaker now says it’ll make up its mind this year. Porsche already offers more hybrids than any other automaker… including plug-in versions of the 918 Spyder, Cayenne and Panamera.
Ford Announces Iconic Trims for 2016 Mustang
Ford Mustang fans — prepare to get excited. The 2016 Ford Mustang fastback and convertible will arrive with some tweaks and iconic 1960s special trim packages that are sure to get die-hard Pony fans excited. And if those don’t, this sure will. Ford is also bringing back the popular hood vent-integrated turn signal, a heritage cue from the 1967 Ford Mustang, as standard equipment.
As for the packaging options, Ford will offer an the iconic California Special Package for the GT Premium and a Pony Package for the Mustang EcoBoost Premium, both of which are classic trim packages that were a hit in the 1960s.
There will also be a new Performance Package for the GT convertible, plus a new stealthy Black Accent Package. Buyers can also get a painted black roof option and custom racing stripes in black or silver to add distinction and customization.
