I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA. Ford GT Program Manager Michael Severson talks about the 2022 Ford GT Heritage Edition supercar. Severson: ”We took a look at the original prototype which was revealed on April 1, 1964 in New York City and it's got this very, very dark blue hood with this white body and this over the top stripes. So the design team I mean was working on this for months and months, trying to get it right because it's a different body so different contours, you've got to do some different things with the lines, but the end result is great. They included sort of modern touches with exposed carbon fiber on the over-the-top stripes and along the edge of the hood and then they took our carbon fiber wheel and painted the spokes anti-matter blue which is the same blue on the hood and left a little exposed carbon so it's a modern interpretation of the original prototype”.
