    Ford Bronco DR Dsert Racer

Global Director of Ford Motorsports Mark Rushbrook talks about the first ever limited edition production Bronco DR Desert Racer. Rushbrook: "It starts life as a four-door Bronco frame, four-door Bronco body, but there's a safety cage integrated into the ACCRA tubing, the ACCRA frame so it's very efficient, very strong and safe, but also weight efficient.  And then put in a 5-liter Coyote V8 engine, 400+ horsepower, that's mated to our 10-speed transmission that goes out through 4.70:1 independently, electronically locked front and rear differentials and then the suspension, so 37-inch tire, BFD Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 all-season 3s more than 50 percent increase in suspension travel from the Bronco Badlands model and some really fancy damper shock technology in there with Multimatic Positional Selective so you can tune this thing." Only 50 will be  produced. Starting MSRP is well over $200,000. Preorders are not yet available.

    Ford Pro Pilot Program

The Ford Pro pilot program is hitting the streets. Ford Pro Business and Strategy Lead Aniela Kuzon says Ford has partnered with businesses for feedback on E-Transit vans. Kuzon: "For example one of the things we're learning is drivers, operators, really love how quiet the vehicle is. You don't really think of that as you know one of the benefits of an electric vehicle. But when you're in the vehicle all day and that background noise can really provide some impact and so hearing you know those little pieces of feedback about how the experience of the driver themselves are are really excited and positive about the transition is really fun. And it's just really a great opportunity to really not only evaluate the vehicle performance and those different uses but also really work with our customers to understand and learn together about some of the technology enablers that will really help them adopt EVs."  For more information on these and other vehicles, check out CarProUSA. With Today’s Auto News, I’m Laura Reynolds.
