I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA.com. Traffic Research Group Leader AAA Foundation Dr. Bill Horrey says new research shows people are getting back to driving but some of their bad habits have caused an increase in fatality accidents. Horrey: "Even though there are still a lot of unknown questions or unanswered questions about you know the future of travel, you know I think one thing that we're trying to at least convey to people is like whether they're continuing to travel through the pandemic or they're beginning to emerge from the pandemic and travel more often, you know we're really trying to underscore that everyone be safe and attentive drivers and really pay attention and be mindful of this new world we're in and also be mindful of the fact that yeah if you haven't driven for awhile you might take it a bit easy at the start, you know trying to get back into the flow of things. Because, yeah, we don't know how risk is going to change in the future but we certainly don't want you know the situation to become exacerbated with some of the trends we've been observing during the pandemic."
