2022 Lincoln Navigator Debuts ActiveGlide
I'm Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA.com. Lincoln Navigator Brand Manager Laura Clark talks about how the 2022 Navigator has Lincoln ActiveGlide, the new hands-free driver-assist technology. Clark: "The 2022 Lincoln Navigator will be the first Lincoln to offer ActiveGlide and this is our hands-free driving feature that you were talking about. So it builds on our intelligent adaptive cruise control, the one with stop and go, lane centering and speed sign recognition, so what it will do is if you are on what we call Blue Zone highways, it will allow you take your hands off the steering wheel if you choose, grab your coffee, you have to keep your eyes on the wheel, er eye on the roads, sorry, right, we have an infrared camera that will monitor your eye movement right because we want to be safe. We want you to be safe. But as long as your eyes stay on the road, you can grab your coffee, just can put your hands in your lap, have a moment to kind of calm because it's a sanctuary. " The 2022 Navigator goes into production next spring. The MSRP has not been released.
2022 Ford Maverick Pricing
The new Ford Maverick’s starting price of $19,995. Ford Archives and Heritage Brand Manager Ted Ryan talks about how the Maverick’s starting price compares to the original Ford Model T price. Ryan: "Well, the Model T was the first entry-level vehicle in America. It was, you know the standard car you wanted a Cadillac or Lincoln Model K and you're looking at $4,000 for a vehicle. So the Model T came in priced at about $850. Listen to some of these standard features, I'm reading from an ad: The Ford Model T standard features, windshield, gas lamp, speedometer, oil lamp, a tail lamp, and a horn. That's your standard features with a Model T that's $850, but if you put that $850 into an inflation calculator it comes out to about $25,000. So we told the Maverick team you're actually beating the Model T, which is, you know that was the world's first entry-level vehicle and you're doing better than they are."
