I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA. Chevrolet Safety Engineer Tricia Morrow says safety technology is good but wearing a seat belt remains a must. “You know according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration front seatbelt use is still at 90%. But when we look at the in-vehicle fatalities, so those fatal crashes that involve vehicles, over about half the occupants that sustain fatal injuries are not wearing their seatbelts, which is just astounding. And even with all the great safety features that Chevy offers, wearing your seatbelt is still the number one thing you can do to protect yourself in a crash. So, you know if you’re hitting the road this summer or anytime, just always make sure you buckle up every seating position every time.” The Chevrolet Trailblazer includes Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Following Distance Indicators.
