I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA. General Motors Senior manager of sustain-able energy and vice chair of the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance Rob Threlkeld says GM has partnered with Shell to offer renewable energy charging hours for GM’s EV owners. Threlkeld says it’s the first step in reducing global carbon emissions. Threlkeld: "When you look at our broader goals, I mean we've got a commitment to be 100 percent renewable electricity as a company that's our manufacturing and non-manufacturing operations in the U.S. by 2030 and globally by 2035. But if you look at our aspiration to be an all-electric vehicle manufacturer by 2035 and carbon neutral by 2040, all of these are kind of key steps in the process of getting towards our broad goal of  0, 0, 0:  Zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion, but the zero emissions component of that is essential in really driving all of this and ultimately the customers to thinking about you know how they can help support that and potentially the electric vehicle being you asset to do that. " With Today's Auto News, I'm Laura Reynolds.
