I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA. The new Ford Maverick’s starting price of $19,995. Ford Archives and Heritage Brand Manager Ted Ryan talks about how the Maverick’s starting price compares to the original Ford Model T price. Ryan: "Well, the Model T was the first entry-level vehicle in America. It was, you know the standard car you wanted a Cadillac or Lincoln Model K and you're looking at $4,000 for a vehicle. So the Model T came in priced at about $850. Listen to some of these standard features, I'm reading from an ad: The Ford Model T standard features, windshield, gas lamp, speedometer, oil lamp, a tail lamp, and a horn. That's your standard features with a Model T that's $850, but if you put that $850 into an inflation calculator it comes out to about $25,000. So we told the Maverick team you're actually beating the Model T, which is, you know that was the world's first entry-level vehicle and you're doing better than they are."
