I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA. Shift.com Co-CEO Toby Russell says when there’s a shortage of new cars, people who were going to buy a new car that can’t find what they want, will buy a one or two year old used model instead. He says demand is so high right now that prices are rising on what is typically seen as a depreciating asset, a used car. Russell says make sure to keep your family’s needs in mind when shopping. Russell: “Ultimately it’s like got to configure for your family and your needs so there isn’t like an across the board, boy, you need to get into the market right now kind of thing, but that said if you’re thinking about making a swap it is a great time now to sell your vehicle because you are to get, seeing the pricing kind of peak out. And if you want to buy a car those prices are going to continue to catch up even as the supply prices, the price you’ll get for selling your car is kind of leveling off. So this might be a really good time to make that swap ahead of the big rush in the summer.” For more automotive news visit www.carprousa.com. I'm Laura Reynolds.
