The 2017 Bentley GT Speed is the Bentley You Want

Bentley GT Speed

There’s fast and then there’s Bentley Continental GT Speed fast.

The automaker took the wraps off its 2017 Bentley GT Speed lineup, the most powerful Bentleys ever, this week in New York City. By powerful, we’re talking 633-horses with a 0-60 mph time of 3.9-seconds.

They’re also in our opinion the best-looking GT Speed’s, too. We’re loving the bright blue and red color combo – it just works in all the right ways.

The full lineup includes the GT Speed, GT Speed Convertible, the GT Speed Black Edition and the GT Speed Convertible. They’re priced between $240,300 and $277,235.

The new GT Speed gets a bit more juice from its 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine. Bentley pulled over this engine from the previous model, but tweaked it for more power and torque. Horsepower rates in at 633, up from 626, with 620 pound-feet of torque, up from 605. Put it all together for a new continuous max torque of 2,000-5,000 rpm.

The 0-60 mph time clocks in at 3.9-seconds. As for the accelerator pedal, it tops out at 206 mph. This shaves off a neat 0.2-seconds from the predecessor.

Okay, so all this still does not satisfy the Bentley Lords. Therefore, the special Black Editions. Available on both the coupe and convertible models, these editions are all black and sport pop.

They get black paint with contrasting colors on the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser. The contrasting colors offered are Hallmar, Beluga, St James’ Red, and Cyber Yellow. If hipness defines you go for the newest Cyber Yellow color. All-black 21-inch five spoke wheels with brake calipers in red or black complete the look.

The doors open to an interior filled with carbon fiber on the dash, center, and roof consoles. Things get fancier in the Black Edition models with contrasting leather and stitching in Porpoise, Beluga, Pillar Box Red, and Cyber Yellow.

Order are being taken as we speak. Look for the powerhouses to hit roads this Summer.
