Barrett-Jackson Vegas Kicks Off Thursday

The countdown is on for the Barrett-Jackson's 2022 Las Vegas auction.  The docket is sold out -- with approximately 650 vehicles expected to cross the block. They include a vehicles from a number of special collections and at least two charity vehicles. The auction kicks off Thursday and runs through Saturday, July 2nd.

Two charity vehicles slated to cross the block are the first retail production 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V and a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 392 (Lot #3001).  VIN 001 Escalade-V will cross the block Friday, July 1st at 4:30 p.m. PT. All proceeds will benefit the Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design (Pensole), Michigan’s new and only Historically Black College or University (HBCU).

The recently unveiled 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is powered by a hand-built 6.2-liter supercharged V8 producing 682-horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. Cadillac expects the Escalade-V to be capable of 0-60 sprints in under 4.4 seconds. Cadillac exclusive V-Mode adjusts suspension settings, steering, brake pedal feel, engine sound, engine performance and more. Technology features include a curved OLED cluster with 38 inches of total diagonal display and twice the pixel density of a 4k TV. The winning bidder of the VIN 001 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will select their preferred Cadillac dealer, and their order will be delivered by that dealer.

A 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 392 (Lot #3001) will be auctioned off to help support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Detroit. It will cross the block on Saturday, July 2. It's powered by a 6.4-liter V8 SRT HEMI MDS mated to an 8-speed 8HP75 automatic transmission. It features an American Expedition Vehicles JL370 conversion, AEV boron-stamped steel bumpers and a 2.5-inch dual sport lift. It is equipped with a Sky One-Touch power top, integrated off-road camera, Warn winch, trailer tow package, Trail Rail management system and 37-inch BFGoodrich mud tires. The exterior is black with clear coat and the interior has leather-trimmed bucket seats and Mopar all-weather floor mats. Additional highlights include the 2TX and 27X customer preferred packages.

The High Octane collection features more than 20 cars. Highlighted by classic American muscle cars, it features many American marques including Chevrolet, Ford, Mercury, Plymouth and Pontiac. The collection includes a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 coupe (Lot #661) and a 1968 Chevelle SS custom coupe (Lot #668.1)

Lindley Collection:

The Lindley Collection features a rare 1970 Plymouth HEMI Superbird (Lot #734) and a matching-numbers 1970 Plymouth HEMI ’Cuda (Lot #734.1). 

Mopar Collectibles: 

Features an ultra-rare 1971 Plymouth HEMI ’Cuda (Lot #752), one of just 59 4-speeds ever built. This car is powered by the original 426/425hp HEMI V8 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and a 4:10 Dana Super Track Pak. It also features the original Fender Tag as well as the Build Sheet. Accompanying this HEMI ’Cuda in its matching Rally Red paint is a matching-numbers 1971 ’Cuda convertible (Lot #752.1) powered by its original, matching-numbers 383ci V8 big block engine.

SoCal Collection:

The Collection features vehicles from Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Buick, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Mercury, Plymouth, Pontiac and Studebaker.  Lot #685 is a matching-numbers 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL roadster that underwent a professional restoration. The original 1897cc engine was rebuilt and retains the correct dual Solex carburetors mated to its original 4-speed transmission. The restored interior features black leather seats, a white steering wheel, a factory radio and a clock.
