In spite of America transitioning from cars to SUVs, and even with a severe chip shortage, car sales were up in July 2021 versus July 2020.  Bear in mind, last July many dealerships were closed or curtailed due to COVID-19.  In fact, of the top 20, 19 were up.

Toyota Camry led the way over Honda Civic in July, but it was close.  Year-to-date, Camry holds a 25,000 car lead over Civic and with Toyota’s chip issues getting better, there is little doubt Camry will hold the #1 position for the 16th straight year.
