As you would expect, June 2021 sales were way up over June 2020, even with a severe chip shortage.  The shortage did not disrupt sales as much as Covid-19 did a year ago.

One number that jumps out at you is Ford falling to fifth place.  No doubt Ford has been hit hardest by the chip shortage.

Here are last month’s sales by automaker, versus June 2020 and what percentage it was up or down:

1. Toyota: 231,733    45%
2. General Motors: 222,924   14%
3. Honda Motor Co. 176,815    46%
4. Hyundai/Kia: 174,043   66%
5. Ford Motor: 160,520   7%
6. Stellantis/FCA: 157,570   7%
7. Nissan: 104,967   40%
8. VW Group: 66,719 43%
9. Subaru: 56,448   9%
10. Mazda: 42,187   69%
