Cartopia: ’69 Plymouth GTX, ’25 Ford Roadster, ’77 Excalibur, ’58 Corvette

Welcome to Cartopia! It’s where you can show off your prized set of four wheels to the masses and the rest of us can wish we had one just like it.

Classic or new, restored or modified, send us your pics and tell us about the special car in your life. It could wind up here.

This week, we check out a 1969 Plymouth GTX, 1925 Ford Modified Roadster, 1977 Excalibur and 1958 Chevrolet Corvette sent in by Car Pro radio listeners.

Logan from Dallas sent us this picture of his 1969 Plymouth GTX.  He says, “it is my favorite vehicle because I have owned it since November 1969, it a numbers matching all stock survivor and it still turns heads!”

This 1925 Ford Modified Roadster belongs to Richard from California. He tells Car Pro it’s all steel and painted in early Ford black. According to Richard, “except for consumables like hoses and tires, the newest thing in my hot rod is me, and I am 70.” The roadster features:
-59AB flathead
-Isky cam and lifters
-Holly 94’s
-’41 Ford Truck 3-speed top loader
-Columbia 2 speed rear end
-32 radiator shell
-35 16″ wires

North Texas is where you’ll find Lester and Bonnie’s 1977 Excalibur. And you’ll never guess what’s under the hood. A 454 Corvette engine! Plus, it also has Corvette 4-wheel disc brakes. Lester tells Car Pro they’re its second owners.

Bob is a member of the Lone Star Corvette Club, so it’s only fitting a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette is his special set of four wheels. Here are some other details he passed along for this beauty:
-Snowcrest White
-1958 production:  9,168
-283 cubic inch, 230 HP V8 with single 4 barrel carburetor
-Options: Hard Top, 4 speed, heater, Wonderbar radio, parking brake alarm
-MSRP: Base = $3,591.00; With options = $4,306.15
