The Honda Odyssey isn’t the only one pushing for minivan prominence this week. The Chrysler Pacifica joins it in the limelight with a new 2017 Touring Plus trim. And by plus, it means squeezed between the current Touring and Touring-L. It accordingly starts at $33,455. Right between those two trims.
Frankly, we have to wonder if the Pacifica needed another trim. There are so many already. There is already an LX, Touring, Touring-L, Touring-L Plus, and Limited. So the new Touring Plus makes number six.
The Touring Plus makes the Touring’s optional power liftgate standard. Other standard Touring Plus features are the Touring Plus comes standard with three-zone automatic climate, second- and third-row sunshades, and a universal garage door opener. Exterior standard upgrades are a fancier – premium – front fascia, projector headlamps, fog lamps, and LED taillamps.
You can add 18-inch wheels and an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen. Chrysler throws in a single overhead DVD player if you add both.
