Overall, a very disappointing experience. I've had much better experience in the past with dealerships that didn't have a "Car Pro". I never received any communication from the Freeman "Car Pro". I communicated with an Internet manager and a salesman. Here's how my experience went on Friday 3/29 (and I drove 1-1/2 hrs to get to the dealership). **I showed up at the agreed upon time but my contact salesman said he was involved with another customer. He was carrying a drill with him. **We went out to the lot and he showed me one Tundra (a limited, which was out of my price range). **Salesman said he had a couple of gray ones and he left us in the lot while he went into the building. **When he didn't return after 5 minutes or so, my wife and I walked to the building and stood outside waiting for him. **He eventually came out with some keys in his hand and said he had a black one and he would pull it around to look at. **After another 5 minutes or so, a sales manager came out with another salesman and told us "T" was busy with another customer and this new salesman would help us. **The new salesman then asked me what I was looking for (he was a bit hard to understand because of his accent). So I mentioned pre-owned Tundras. He said he wasn't sure what they had in stock. **At that point, I decided to leave because nobody seemed to know what I was looking for, what they had in stock or where they were located and we were tired of standing around waiting.

Lexus (Lexi) was helpful and knowledgeable but, could never get ALL of our 1st choice options for the RAV4 we wanted. (XLE(+) Hybrid: made in Japan, Lunar Rock ext, gray int, no extra bs...) We got frustrated at not getting that, so searched for other dealers (and she didn't return calls/emails later in the search)... did find and get this exact vehicle through a dealer in Denison. Though the transaction didn't go as "smooth" as it probably would have through Lexus. Got an XLE Premium but, for basically $40K (and 857 credit score!) ... the passenger seat is still manually operated and NO CD player!?!? (sigh... lol) Curious, it is Loud when in reverse and just using ECO/battery power! Takes some getting used too... Thank you Lexi for the education and for trying to help us.

Our 1st attempt through the CarPro process was a total mess - we actually got "ghosted" by the Freeman salesperson. But I trusted your system, and with the 2nd submission, Rick Simpson called us back immediately and he was such a professional. So much so that after my 4Runner came in (had to get on a list), we purchased a Rav4 for my wife. Not only is Rick a stand-up guy he found a few "Jerry" discounts, including both extended warranties. We had not been inside of a car dealership for decades because of past experiences, but because of how we were treated I highly recommend the CarPro process!

General Manager Robert turned us over to salesman Tommy Chau. Tommy was knowledgeable and happily looked up answers to any questions he was uncertain about. We were looking for a hybrid Grand Highlander Limited. We fully expected to have to order the vehicle. Unfortunately, the dealer didn’t have any big SUV hybrids available to test drive, nor did they have a Grand Highlander Limited or Platinum for us to look at. Tommy did the best he could with what they did have.

The vehicle I was interested in was not available. The rep assigned to me always sounded real busy delivering cars. Whatever that means. I also received an email from Samuel Scarlett who said I should come down and look at the highlander he had. I wanted to see the hybrid max to see if I even wanted a highlander. My first message from Samuel he didn’t even identify himself so I was sure it wasn’t a phishing attempt. He told me he was the sales manager. When I’ve worked with other car pro dealers I didn’t have to ask who they were.

Our experience with Freeman Toyota was amazing. Maverick worked with us to procure the exact vehicle we wanted even though one was not on the lot initially. The perfect RAV4 became available and Maverick kept us advised of the pricing and the arrival of the vehicle. He took us for a test drive and showed us many of the features and even guided us to the bank since we were not familiar with the area (we drove 250 miles to get the vehicle we wanted). We couldn't be more pleased with Freeman Toyota and would gladly consider them for future Toyota purchases.

After submitting a request to be notified by Freeman Toyota on the CarPro site I received a response back from Freeman by Lexy and he identified himself as a Car Pro Specialist. This was Saturday may 6th. He sent me a brochure for the RAV4. On Monday May 8th I texted him a copy on my drivers license and color and trim of the RAV4 I am interest in. I also asked him a few questions. I have hear nothing back from Lexy. On Saturday I sent a text asking if he received my previous text again I have heard nothing. Very disappointed in the response I have received from Freeman Toyota. After listening to Jerry from many years I am surprised at Freeman’s response.

We are in the process of purchasing two new vehicles with Jerry Patterson and Lexy Jaramillo of Freeman Toyota in Hurst. Supply chain issues have made the car buying process quite different than any of the previous dozen vehicles we’ve purchased over the years. The CarPro radio show and program information has helped us understand what to expect. Both of our vehicles are expected to arrive within the next month. Our salesperson Lexy Jaramillo and sales manager Jerry Patterson have provided us with outstanding customer service. They have sourced the vehicles we wanted and have kept us informed on a regular basis on estimated delivery to the dealership. They have patiently answered numerous questions we’ve had regarding the purchase process, provided opportunities for test drives and helped us understand accessories, options and upgrades. They have provided us with all of the time and attention we’ve needed during visits or phone calls without rushing us. I contacted the dealership, they called me back, I was told what they had, and how your VIP membership worked, I picked out the truck I wanted, and they had one coming. Never did hear from the Pro at Freeman New Car dealership, Jerry Patterson. Turns out he was out ill. The used car dealership team stepped up and helped us with the process. Kyle Chase, Mike Smith and Chris (Mgr) were professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Except the little chart drawing with arrows and circles to show me their numbers and the direction they hoped I would take - hate that part of the process. They were honest and straightforward - just couldn't match or beat the written CarMax offer I had for my trade-in. The vehicle in their inventory was also more expensive than the one I ultimately purchased. They had very little flexibility on the numbers. Bottom line, I purchased from CarMax. Thanks for asking.

The car was ordered and she informed us when it would be built and then delivered to Freeman Toyota. She kept us informed during the build process and called as soon as our car arrived at Freeman Toyota. The buying process dealing with "Lexy" was stress free and fair. Lexi called us within minutes of my inquiry. We had leased our Rav with her and it was time to make a decision. She gave us all our options and we went with the Camry. She delivered the vehicle to our home and signed the paperwork and she drove off in the old car. Awesomeness! Jerry visited with us on day we came in for a test drive and was very nice. We will purchase another car from them!

This is second vehicle that I have bought through the CarPro. Like the first it was the best car buying experience. I did not save money because those make and models are going for a premium…that’s my fault. That said, I’d rather spend a little more to make sure I’m treated fairly with respect. All went well initially but after reserving a vehicle (with my name on it), it was sold to another buyer. After a few emails with Jerry another was found in West Texas. I travelled to Freeman Toyota from 100 miles East of Dallas and only expected to make one trip to try and buy from a large dealership for the first time. I have bought numerous new vehicles throughout my life time at smaller dealerships. I had a pleasurable experience working with my salesman, Kenneth Anderson. I was never contacted by a sales representative after submitting my inquiry through CarPro other than an automated “we received your inquiry and will get back to you shortly.” Ended up calling the dealership and setting up an appointment, but definitely didn’t receive any “VIP” kind of treatment upon arrival. My sales rep was James B and he kept trying to get me to buy a car I didn’t really want and wanted to pull my credit for financing on the car I didn’t want. Other sales reps may be better, but I was less than impressed with James and felt that he was trying to take advantage of me cause I’m a female who was on her own at the dealership.

Rick Simpson, my salesman at Freeman Toyota was able to deliver a Toyota Camry Hybrid with the trim level and options I wanted in 7 weeks. I understand that some customers have waited 6 to 8 months for this type of Camry. He also spent 45 minutes with me demonstrating the various features of the car. He was very responsive to phone calls, but did not always answer text messages. In general I had a very good experience at Freeman Toyota.

I was contacted by Tommy Chau of Freeman Toyota a day after submitting my CarPro request. I talked to him about what vehicle I was looking for and we set up an appointment a few days later. We have been purchasing Camry's (and a Tundra) from Freeman for the last 20 years and Tommy continued to exhibit the great treatment we have come to expect. We have always purchased Camry's with V6 engines, but Toyota is migrating away from those. Tommy let us test drive a used 2022 (essentially the same car) with the 4 cylinder to let us compare them. The 4 cylinders have much better power than 10 years ago and we were happy with its performance. Tommy then took us through the list of vehicles in line for delivery and we picked out the one we wanted. He gave us the price including the credit for the trade in we had and we told him to put us down for it. It took about two weeks for it to arrive and we set an appointment to pay and pick it up. The purchase process was fast and easy. The finance manager was James Padilla and was great to work with as well. Once again, we are very happy with Tommy, James and the entire purchase process with CarPro and Freeman Toyota.

I heard from them 5 days after my inquiry. Basically they require a $500 non-refundable deposit (what if there's something wrong with the car or it is somehow unsatisfactory? I'd be out $500), and the price of the vehicle would be $5,000 over MSRP (no thanks. I'm not desperate). I don't see how this experience was any different than my picking up the phone and calling any Toyota dealer at random.

This gentleman wants a specialty order unit on a RAV4 prime. Yes we are 5000 over where every other Toyota dealer he is referring to is 10-15k over. So he did get a special price as result of being a CarPro customer.

My family and I have bought several vehicles thru you're program and have been 5 star happy with each purchase. I live in Victoria, Tx and this time my 82 year old dad wanted a new Rav 4 hybrid, because we both listen to all 5 hours of your show podcast EVERY week I decided to call BJ at Freeman toyota (even though Dallas is 300 miles away) I gave BJ our color and equipment preferences and he said he would call as soon as he could get 1, 8 days later he called and said he had one that was our 1st choice on it's way. I took dad to Dallas on 2-11-22 and he picked up his new RAV, BJ sold it to him at MSRP with the only addition being window tint and a pin stripe that dad asked for. With all of our previous buying experiences thru the car pro being a solid 5 star rating, BJ and freeman was a 10!!! because of that I ordered a Tacoma for me from BJ while I was there, I can't wait for it to come in. Thank you Jerry for all that you do for the car buying public!!

I worked with Lexy from this dealership. The experience overall was great. Lexy was responsive and answered all of my questions. She is very knowledgeable and I felt quite comfortable working with her. I am looking for a Rav4 Prime and understand that these are very difficult to find in generally but specifically in my state. There is a process available with Freeman to join a waiting list and Lexy was very helpful in walking me through the process. Ultimately I decided not to purchase at this time because of the premium being added to the sticker price on the Prime. I am not in a hurry to purchase and hope to work with Lexy at Freeman in the future.

We contacted Freeman Toyota , were connected with Car Pro Lexie and made an appt to meet with her at the dealership. She sat down with us answered all of our questions about the relatively new Grand Highlander we were interested in and was upfront about the fact that it would take at least 3 months to special order the car we wanted...specific paint, interior and accessories. Lexie let us test drive a car that was on the lot, reviewed all of the options for packages and accessories with us and made recommendations based on our driving habits and lifestyle. It was difficult to try and compare prices with other dealerships due to the short supply of these vehicles...and our specific requirements but we were told there were discounts for CarPro customers so.... We reached out at least once a month for updates on order progress and she usually got back to us within 2-3 days. Due to manufacturing delays there were several times when she had no updates on the status of our order but reassured us that the delay was nationwide. The entire process...order to delivery...took 5 months! but we finally have the car we wanted and it is beautiful. When we picked up the car, Lexie spent adequate time with us reviewing car operations before we left the lot...but there is still lots to learn. We would definitely work with Lexie again should we be in the market for another Toyota.

We were looking for a Toyota Sienna in the Spring. When we visited Freeman, we were looking for a car that fit 5 car seats, so thinking primarily a Highlander. Our rep did suggest a Sienna and we looked at a Highlander and realized 3 car seats were NOT fitting in the back seat. As we researched later, our best option was the Toyota Sienna 8-seat XLE. Freeman had a wait list but you could not even specify what you wanted. The mark-up was I think $2K and there were about $2K in dealer add-ons that were junk in my option. We actually got to see 2 Sienna XLEs side by side (used) at the Toyota dealership in Richardson. We called a LOT of dealers--even 2 in Oklahoma. We found Robbins Toyota in Texarkana was the only one that would order us what we wanted (early May--delivery around year end) and NO markup. They ended getting something in close to what we wanted (not a perfect match on accessories, but a white 8-seat XLE) and we bought it in mid-June. Our salesperson spent an hour with us going through every single feature before we drove for Allen, TX. I would consider Freeman next time but if the price was the same, I'd probably go with Robbins due to the delivery experience! I purchased a 2019 Ford Escape from 5 Star in Plano (now Dallas). I had an incredible experience and just didn't get that all at Freeman. Also, a newsletter article on cars that fit 4 and 5 car seats would have been helpful! We thought we could fit 3 in my mother-in-law's 2019 Cadillac ST5 (the larger SUV, may have the model wrong). But, due to the height of the car seats and the very slight curve in the upper body, it only held 2 car seats. I can't say enough about the hybrid. Crazy we get 36 MPG in something that large! Our salesperson was okay with communication but I think he basically wrote us off. We were cash buyers, so credit was not an issue. We needed something since we needed a vehicle that would hold 3 car seats at a minimum (which meant we needed to drive 2 cars if we had all the Grands). I will go through the CarPro process again when we purchase our next car. I should also say that our budget rose from $35K to $55K during the process. Even though I read the newsletter, I had no clue how expensive vehicles had gotten since I purchased by 2019 Escape in December 2018.

Great attention early on, then dropped the ball at communication. This would have been Ok but we bought a RAV4 3 months ago from Freeman and the selling process was exceptional but wrapping up the purchase in finance was the worst experience in our entire 40 years of car buying. And that’s not hyperbole. Freeman remembered us and still stumbled in getting the truck delivered as promised. Love the truck, its just if you make a promise to do so something and can’t do it, you should call the customer to explain. Not me calling them to ask about it.

Lexy contacted us immediately when I notified Freeman Toyota that I needed a car. She brought an example to us in Mansfield, Texas to test drive. She then brought the car that I wanted to my house along with the paper work for purchase. It was done in a minimum amount of time as I had totaled my car and needed transportation ASAP. My husband has health issues and it is difficult for him to travel even relatively short distances. Upside, Jerry sent me an email the next day saying they would be in touch. Lexy, emailed me later that day also. Told me they had a used highlander I could look at. Ended up looking at one with Jacob and he was a great. Full of knowledge and great sense of humor. Stayed late to help us also. Lexy finished up the paperwork. Only reason for a 4 star was I never actually got a phone call. We ended up just going to the dealer without an appointment. They car pro customer does get Msrp plus their slightly overpriced tent, pin strips package. They don’t add the extra 4K like most customers though. In todays environment, I’ll take it as a win. Highlander hybrid is on order!

These guys were absolutely fantastic. They were quick and on time and informative and answered all my questions!
